"Quality is Our Responsibility"
The Cooperative Development Authority (CDA) is celebrating the 23rd Anniversary of the enactment of the CDA Charter establishing the CDA, and in time for this event, the Agency was granted the ISO 9001:2008 Certification last 12-12-12 (December 12, 2012), a milestone for the government regulatory agency.
Barely one month after the CDA Board of Administrators muster the quorum, the present set of the CDA Board of Administrators passed 82 resolutions in its two special and one regular meetings for February of this year.
Around 70 representatives from different member-organizations of the National Cooperative Development Council or NCDC elected its new set of officers last January 23, 2013 during its Annual General Assembly Meeting held in Hotel Rembrandt, Quezon City. The NCDC is the national consultative body for cooperative development programs and projects created by virtue of Executive Order 93.
In 2009, the Cooperative Development Authority (CDA) started its three (3) year journey in its bid to be granted a certification from the International Organization for Standardization (ISO). This was brought about by the call of the government for all its departments, bureaus and other agencies to be ISO certified, with CDA as one of the identified agencies to undergo the rigorous process of audit, document and records control and government quality procedures.
First of all, I would like to say "thank you, Almighty God", for this wonderful blessing. As the year is about to come to an end, this ISO Certification is the most invigorating gift an institution could ever have. A fitting reward for all our "pains" and "hard labors" for this year. Nothing is sweeter than letting all the doubters know that indeed CDA is "doing the right thing" and "doing it the right way". We anticipate the coming year full of hope and energy for more good things to come to CDA.
